We Get You.

Data Bull was created as an outgrowth of mutual frustrations experienced by its two founders in their respective professional roles. From software platform management and medical device technology to nonprofit development, the same roadblocks exist—as does the same solution: Use a Business Intelligence (BI) tool to deliver customized reports that are reliable, deliver the exact data needed, and save employees significant time and energy. So, we set out to create a flexible, secure platform that takes advantage of open-source products and sophisticated AI to deliver a unique, efficient solution.

For nonprofits and other SMBs, accurate reporting builds trust with stakeholders, including investors, customers, and employees. If stakeholders perceive that an organization’s reporting is inaccurate, it can erode trust and damage the organization’s reputation. Plus, accurate financial data is essential for assessing an organization’s performance, direction, and overall financial health.

Because we understand firsthand the skillset and time it takes
to implement and manage a BI tool, you don’t have to.

Marshall Worth

CEO

Marshall has garnered more than 15 years of experience working for the electric utility industry developing sophisticated software and data analytics applications. His most recent experience involved managing a Cloud-based Internet of Things (IoT) software platform with over 100TB of data and the curation of useful reporting tools. Even with that vast data swell and immense potential for insights useful to that organization, mining the right data to produce custom reports was a frustrating directive—these efforts required significant time and resources over and above Marshall’s primary job role. Recognizing that this frustration was not merely industry-specific, he applied his skills and experience in software development and analytics, as well as an excitement to help others achieve actionable insights, to co-create The Data Bull. Marshall earned a Bachelor of Electrical Engineering from the University of Colorado at Boulder. He lives in Raleigh, NC, with his wife, Valerie, and two sons, Mason and David.

Matthew Elliott

COO

Matt brings over 10 years of experience in technology sales and consulting for medical, nonprofits, and legal organizations. While launching a customer success department at a global medical device and technology company, Matt was using the company’s multiple existing CRM programs to garner relevant data. But exporting the reports in an attempt to gain insights did not allow his team to truly understand client activity or plan effective sales strategies. Once he discovered how BI tools could build agile reports for accurate, interactive, and real-time data insights, Matt saw a true game-changer that could be applied not only to his department and entire organization, but also across industries—including nonprofits, which he soon experienced. When implemented, BI tools eliminate platform overlap, decrease data entry errors, reduce staff frustration (and turnover!) and improve the trust among all stakeholders. Connecting with Marshall sparked a passion within Matt to make this a reality for other businesses as well. Matt earned his bachelor’s degree in Finance with a minor in Economics from Greensboro College, and he completed a Leadership Development MBA program from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He lives in Raleigh with his wife, Lauren, and son Thomas.
