In this episode of Running With the Bulls, Matt sits down with Megan Steinke-Chase, Executive Director of Note in the Pocket, a nonprofit providing clothing to children and families experiencing hardship across Wake and Durham counties.

Megan shares how her career advocating for children’s rights around the world led her to nonprofit leadership in North Carolina. They discuss the often-overlooked issue of clothing insecurity, the difficult financial trade-offs families face, and how Note in the Pocket serves more than 10,000 people each year. Megan also conveys her passion for fashion and vintage clothing, and how that interest intersects with a passion for helping those in need at Note.

The conversation also explores how data can help nonprofits identify unmet needs, measure impact, and make smarter strategic decisions. Megan highlights the importance of community partnerships, volunteers, and collaboration in helping organizations reach more families.
